Theres a great boutique art gallery/shop, cafe and vintage clothing store at the McDonald House on the hill worth checking out. The beach is great for swimming at low tide.

Lawrencetown Beach is widely known amongst the surfing community for its excellent waves all year long.

Surf rentals and lessons in the summer. Beginners should stick to the beach and keep away from the waves at the point as it is both busy and the bottom is full of large rocks. Not for beginners.
