In this experience, you will visit the unparalleled DOURO VALLEY, the first denominated wine region in the world and a world heritage site by UNESCO. The day starts at our meeting point and then we will be heading to the Valley. For the drive we will do a loop around the valley to better see and enjoy all the different landscapes, first driving through the N323 with all the astonishing viewpoints of the valley and where we have the first stop, a small winery from a local producer to try his regular wines (reds and whites from the region), olive oil, and other products produced with olives and everything paired with local bread, jelly, cheeses, and hams. At this winery, we will have the chance to have a short walk at the vines and depending on the stage of the vineyard, learn about the work being done at the moment, such as pruning, grafting, and harvesting. The second stop is at Pinhão for a typical Portuguese lunch at a local tavern with great options for Vegans and Vegetarians. Still, at Pinhão, we have a 1-hour mini-cruise in a typical boat along the astonishing Douro River with the Valley as a background view (shared with other groups) The journey will continue through the National 222 in, direction of our last winery, something very small and intimate where you will have the chance to try the wines of the last local producer.

Meu plano é recebe-lo na Marina do Freixo onde lhe oferecerei uma bebida de boas vindas (Vinho do Porto ou Espumante Bruto) acompanhada de amêndoas com ervas aromáticas e iniciamos a navegação, sempre feita de forma pausada e segura. Veremos o Palácio do Freixo, logo ao lado da Marina e navegaremos rio abaixo, admirando desta perspectiva, as 6 pontes que unem Porto e Gaia, primeiro verá a Ponte do Freixo e de seguida poderá admirar as pontes de S. Learn how to make the famous "Pastel de Nata", so that you can return home and enjoy the traditional Portuguese pastries made by you. While learning how to bake traditional pastries, you can taste a regional wine and learn about Portuguese culture and history through a gastronomic conversation. Once it's ready, it's time to enjoy the learning results with some warm pastries! In this experience, the host will give the participants the opportunity to alternately participate in the different phases of making the pastel de nata. In this sailing experience you will be able to admire the views of Oporto from the Douro River, and make the most of the best sunsets while you get to know the main spots of our coast. This is an opportunity for you to observe the touristical monuments of the city, avoiding the crowds and queues, while sat on a 52 feet Ocean Star boat. Besides all the scenical views, you will also have a privileged look at the bridges, one of the main icons of Oporto. While you enjoy this experience, we will offer you a glass of Tawny Port Wine for you to taste the typical beverage from the city and some snacks. You can also find available a fridge, dishes, cups and cutlery in case you wish to bring your own food and drinks!

This is one, and the best seller, of the wine tastings we do at the reservation only de Lima's Wine Bar which has a capacity of maximum 6 people. If you wish for a private session, please reach out. We will first start by evaluating six wine, 3 whites, 3 reds so we can have a grounded knowledge before we pair it with cheeses. We will go from simpler to more complex wines, differences between organic and regular wines, and you will end this experience by knowing how to choose the wine you like the most at the supermarket back home!
