“Must do” activities in Monteverde
Activities
The tour is a self-guided hike through cloud forest to see 4 large waterfalls, several small ones and some rustic suspension bridges. The walk has an intermediate difficulty and steep trails, not recommended for older adults or people with any health complications. There are 2 modalities to carry out the activity.
1: Complete tour, which includes hiking through all the waterfalls and hanging bridges as well as the pools in the river, the guided horseback ride with an expert for 35min or 4x4 if you prefer and a delicious typical lunch cooked on firewood. Price $61
2: Advanced Hiking. It is the same route but without the horses or lunch. It implies a distance greater than the complete tour (8km total) and requires more experience and physical condition. An excellent option for advanced hikers. Price $31
If you need transportation from your hotel we can coordinate it for an additional price of $ 10 per person. The schedules would be:
