You can see an abundance of other wildlife and stunning plant life as you walk the quiet trails of this reserve. Here you will see one of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere in Costa Rica. You can sit in the specially-designed amphitheater, have a cold drink, and take in the beauty that the end of the day has to offer. They also have a fabulous dinner menu.

Caliche’s Wishbone is our favorite. They have a little bit of everything and a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. They are super friendly and will be happy to make a recommendation on what to eat, depending on your appetite.

Another place that has a little bit of everything is Marisqueria El Recreo. It is a nice, open-air restaurant with great service. They have appetizers, steaks, salads, hamburgers, pizza…..everything. They are down the main street, across from the Max X Menos market, on the right-hand side of the street when coming from the condo.

Multi Ahorros – this is the market directly outside the condo complex. Again, it has a limited selection for your immediate needs, but not great on prices.
Max X Menos – this is the best grocery store in town. Great selection and prices!
Mega Super – this is the grocery store in the shopping center (with the KFC) near the condo. It is good for immediate needs, but does not have the best prices. It has a great selection though.
Farmers’ Market – this occurs on Fridays by the soccer field on the far side of town (south side). Highly recommended.

If you have a craving for gelato instead, Marsican Gelato is our recommendation. It is on the same side of the street as Pops and the Helados stand, but slightly closer to the condo.
