Food Scene

The new generation of the Contini Bonacossi presents "The Vinsantaia", a restaurant and wine bar inside at the heart of Capezzana estate. We have created a space dedicated to welcoming guests wishing to taste our wines alongside carefully selected local dishes in the setting of our beautiful countryside. It is named after our famous Capezzana Vin Santo, which is aged in casks for five years in the rooms above the restaurant. The Vinsantaia is at the center of the ancient village of Capezzana, in front of the olive mill. From here, immersed in the Tuscan landscape of vineyards and olive groves, you can enjoy a unique view of the hills of Carmignano and the plains of Florence, Prato and Pistoia. The space was open to welcome those who want to immerse themselves in our reality: an ancient estate that has been producing wine and olive oil for over 1,200 years. We will be happy to showyou to the cellars and provide tastings of our wines. We selected meats and cheeses to pair with our wines, and if you're lucky, you may also be able to enjoy produce from our organic garden. Our cookies and “schiacciata” (a typical Tuscan focaccia) are made on the premises. The idea for Vinsantaia came from the family passion for our land and the desire to revive the area's resources, making its excellence available to all: wine, oil, landscapes and more.
