El río Tárcoles, es una de las “paradas fijas” de la zona. Un momento para ver los cocodrilos y saber que ya no estas en la ciudad. Lo mejor es que hay una pops para para poder comer un helado y ver la naturaleza.

Si deseas ver un atardecer con un poco más de lujo, villa caletas es tu lugar. Tienen un excelente restaurante y bar para poder ver el sol ponerse.

It was established on April 27, 1978 as a biological reserve, but its growing popularity after 1990 forced the government to upgrade its category to a national park in November 1998.
Carara lies about 30 miles west of the Costa Rican capital of San José and about 15 miles north of the beach town of Jacó. The park protects the river basin of the River Tárcoles, near Orotina, and includes one of the largest remaining populations of wild scarlet macaws in the country.

En los Sueños hay múltiples restaurantes de dónde poder comer, sin embargo, mi preferido es el Bar en el segundo piso, que se llama el Hoockup y no es “tan caro” cómo los otros restaurantes del complejo.
If going to Los Sueños, I recommend the Hoockup, on located on the second floor of the shopping strip. Its a bar/restaurant that has a more afordable eating option. Plus, if its football, Hockey or Baseball season, the games are totally on.

This is a great place to go eat as it has tons of variety. I really like Tsunami Sushi (A CR Sushi Chain) that has great deals on Wednesdays and Fridays (1/2 price sushi rolls). There are also other restaurants that have burgers, seafood, etc.

Get your food at the Mega super, just off the highway or any other super market. Do not get your groceries at the inside the town supermarket. It is super expensive.
Compre en el Mega super de Orotina o cualquier otro supermercado, pero no en el Peri-Orotina, es uno de los supers más caros en los que he estado (hasta más caro que automedicado).

The property is about 6 acres. Ask Juan to take you on a walking tour of the place. There is a small pond, tons of mango trees (and if season you can take a few); also marañón, jocotes and other fruits you may enjoy. There is a part of the property that grows teak trees farmed for wood.
In the back there are some gracing lots that are rented out to cattle ranchers near by, so stop and say hi to the cows. The breed found here is heat tolerant usually known as Zebu, indicine cattle or humped cattle.

This is a very good tip for walking around the grounds. The property is big, so the grass can be tall, and there could be a lot of no see ums.
Also, if you visit in rainy season, your feet will stay nice and dry.
Este es un tip importante si deseas caminar por la propiedad. Te recomiendo traer unas botas de hule o botas para escalar. Puede ser que en algunos lados con el zacate alto esten las purrujas.
Además en invierno, digamos en es una necesidad en una finca si vas a explorar.
