A must if you enjoy hiking and trails. This reserve is one of the main attractions at Monteverde. It is aprox 40 min from the cabin. You will get a chance to experience real fresh,. clean air. There is one hanging bridge and a beautiful waterfall. You can do the trails on your own, but if you really want to spot animals maybe is best if you hire a nature guide once you are there. Count on about three hours for the hike. I would say is medium difficulty. Entrance fee is no more than $15 per person. After you do the hike in the reserve.. In the little town of Santa Elena, there are other activities you can do. Also you will find plenty of places to eat.

This is the first park created in Monteverde. Opened in 1974. The most amazing example of The Cloud Forest. If you do not visit this park you missed the best Monteverde has to offer!! None of the other places would exist if this protected area wasn't created!! Trails to the Continental Divide, Cascades, many more...
