So long as you have a reservation, entrance should be easy. Cocktails are serious business here—either order one from the menu or tell the bartenders what you like and leave it to them.
It's total luxury at The St. Regis hotel, where the King Cole Bar occupies the top floor with a sparkling view of Reforma Avenue and the Ángel de la Independencia monument just below. All the of classics are done well here, and there's a nice selection of house cocktails. The Bloody Mary, in a town where it's near impossible to find good horseradish, is delicious. The wine and beer lists are also thoughtful.

Once you enter a small, brightly painted restaurant, head towards the kitchen and go through a secret passageway where an employee will greet you and flip open a false wall to let you in. The space itself is remarkable: tall, luxurious leather chairs against the slick marble bar feel like thrones. There are also low-lit booths and a private room.
