This is my favorite local spot in La Fortuna, is pretty close from Glass House, is free and is great to enjoy the nature, feel the fresh water, I usually go there with my friend, get some drink or snack (please take your garbage with you :) there are some trails to explore and will find a more private environment. Great for meditation and charge some batteries, this water will give you a renewal start!

Love La Fortuna Waterfall! No guide needed but if you do not have a lot of time to explore I would recommend to book it as a combo with Hanging bridges, Volcano hike and hot springs, this way you can save money and time, the tour operator will take you all this spots, calculate the right time for you to enjoy the highlight in the area and have an amazing time, no rush, everything will be taken care of, entrance fee, transportation, guide, lunch, dinner! Super Recommended cero stress level!
