Probably the best bakery in town. Excellent breads and service. 2 locations, one is at the bottom of the hill to our house next to Wholefoods in central Monteverde and the other is in downtown Santa Elena.

This is one of our favorite places to hang out with our family. There is a creek and large open green are where children can play located right in front of an open air restaurant that serves delicious meals, snacks, juices, coffees and drinks or all types, including locally crafted beer from Monteverde Brewing Company. Theyalso have wood fire pizza. There are stunning sunset views right at the restaurant and open area and along the trails as well. I highly recommend visiting Valle escondido to catch the sunset.

Valle Escondido Preserve
This is one of our favorite places to hang out with our family. There is a creek and large open green are where children can play located right in front of an open air restaurant that serves delicious meals, snacks, juices, coffees and drinks or all types, including locally crafted beer from Monteverde Brewing Company. Theyalso have wood fire pizza. There are stunning sunset views right at the restaurant and open area and along the trails as well. I highly recommend visiting Valle escondido to catch the sunset.

This is a beautiful trail hike down to a waterfall. There are fresh water pools that you can swim in. It is right across the street and run by our neighbor.
