Green Tree Guest House - Antique Room
The Antique room has its own ensuite bathroom and a large bed, small but ideal for a solo traveller (double bed but for single occupancy); breakfast upon request (service and preparation is included - you only pay the maid for the food she buys). It is one of 3 bedrooms of this small but cozy guest house. The beach and all shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away.
A maid takes care of the cleaning, shopping, ironing and washing in the morning hours.

Hi. My name is Rama, I am from Lamu & together with Stefania, we help our friend Mauro to rent out this room located in the his Green Tree Guest House on my paradise island.
It's a 140mq house with 3 bedrooms (the other rooms can be rented separately), each one with its own ensuite bathroom, a kitchen where our lovely housekeeper prepares breakfast and other meals (upon request and for an extra fee); she will keep the room clean and tidy in the morning hours and prepare for you breakfast if you so wish (upon request, you pay for the food she buys, it is served in the room). Upon request, for an extra fee and provided you pay for the grocery, she can also prepare lunch and dinner and serve it in the room: she is a great cook!
She will also do the laundry, iron and do the shopping for you if needed and make sure the house is cleaned every morning. She is available for guests every day from 8 to 12:00. If you would like the maid to stay longer hours and prepare for you also lunch and dinner, you can. You will have to pay something extra to her and for the grocery. Make sure you let her know in advance.

The Green Tree Guest House is a simple but tastefully decorated house located in a quiet corner of the village of Shela, on Lamu island, only 2 minutes walk to the seafront where all the best restaurants and shops are.

The guest house is located on the first and second floor, comes with a kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3 ensuite bathrooms with shower, a big terrace on the second floor and a balcony downstairs.
The Antique Room is ideal for a solo traveller, and the house is only 2 mins walk from the beach.

We would like to invite you to stay at this lovely guest house, you will love it. Our friend Mauro, who enjoys living here only a few months a year, is happy to share his love for this island with anyone who can appreciate the simple and unique lifestyle of Lamu. That's why he opened his house to guests. If you would like to come and invite more friends, just let us know. We can accommodate you all as there are other 2 double bedrooms in the house and we have other properties very nearby!
Upon request, we can arrange also pick up at the airport, don't worry about your luggage, let the porters carry it for you, in exchange for a tip. That's how things are done here on the island, no worries, hakuna matata! Extra fees apply for the pick up service. Ask us if interested.
One of the best-kept secrets of Africa, the island of Lamu, and in particular the village of Shela, is THE place to be if you want to relax, walk on the pristine beaches and dunes or swim in the clean warm waters of Lamu, everything within only a few minutes from the house.

This quiet corner of Shela Village is just the perfect spot for those who are looking for peace and tranquillity, yet want to be near everything. In fact, it is just 2 mins walk from the beach and the famous bar and restaurants of the island.
This area is perfect if you want to walk only along the seafront, and don't need to get into the hot village if you don't want to.
We are not responsible for any noise coming from the neighbours, the street donkeys or the mosque, heard anywhere in the village ;-) About cars... There are no cars on the island!!! Enjoy ;-)

Hi, I am Rama and I am from the most beautiful place on earth: Lamu Island.
If you have never heard of it, please search it online and see what others say about it. Then come to visit us here and experience it yourself!
My business partner is Stefania, she is from Italy and lives in Amsterdam. As often as possible she comes to spend her holidays here in East Africa, in Lamu and Zanzibar, especially to escape the winter in Europe.
She loves this side of the world as much as I do and is the one who keeps the communication flowing. We opened a little hotel in Nungwi and I manage some properties in Lamu.
We are happy to give you a good house or room for your holidays and to show you the good life on these paradise islands. If you need to sit back, relax and enjoy, this is the right place for you.
We are going to do our best to give you unforgettable memories of your holidays.
We love sailing with the dhow at sunset, walking on the beach, swimming, jogging, exercising and eating fresh and healthy food from the islands, especially fish, crab, shrimps and lobster ;-)

Upon request and for a fee, we can pick you up at the airport with a private boat and bring you to the village where you'll be welcomed by one of our team or by the housekeeper and accompanied to the accommodation.
Anything you might need during your entire stay just ask, let us pamper you!
