The Deco House - also known as “The pride of Ahangama”
is quietly located in the village of Digeradda, in the small town of Ahangama.
Everyday life passes by, and you automatically get a feeling of becoming a part of the Sri Lankan way of living.
A walk through the village, takes you over the paddy, into the world of temples and untouched sceneries, and in less than 10 minutes, to the beautiful and picturesque beaches of the south.

The Deco House is one of its kind.
The villa was designed by a British architect in the late fifties, and was built by a local family.
Today the villa has been gently renovated. Nothing much has been changed, but a few things have been added, just to provide the guests with the maximum comfort, as well as the demanded privacy. :-)

This is the COTTAGE. A small and stunning house - yet spacious.
In the early days, the cottage functioned as a tiny shop, that supplied the village with everyday needs.
Today the shop has been turned into a lovely Holiday home, and makes a comfortable living for a small family even.
With its own entrance you can enjoy the privacy, and yet use the facilities of the villa. From the cottage you have access to the private terrace and the common pool area, as well as the the pavilion.
Ground floor is offering a spacious living area, with a comfy daybed, that converts into a sleeping area at night - or whenever needed.
The downstair room also provides the guests with a small kitchen, for making tea/coffee, more than actual cooking.
Also - you have access to a stunning outdoor bathroom, from the downstair space.
A lovely staircase takes you to the sleeping area, with a queen size bed.

The aim was always to create an ambiance that will slow down your heartbeat, and give you the relaxing time that you came for. I think we pulled it through.

The Deco House is located in a friendly village - only a 5 minute Tuk Tuk ride away from Ahangama town.
Also it is erfectly situated, should you be interested in the lovely nature - the hot surf spots of Welligama an Mirissa - the historical Galle fort or even a deserted little beach.

Hi all.
We have recently taken over managing The Deco House and couldn’t be more thrilled.
Tomas, the owner, is a wonderful friend of ours. He has poured he heart into creating the most beautiful boutique hotel that southern Sri Lanka has to offer!

We have been traveling the world for the past five years and upon landing in Sri Lanka we fell in love. We are so excited to welcome you “home” to the Deco House and show you around!
