This recently decorated 2 bedroom Townhouse offers guests a bright and spacious place to call home while in the Algarve. The home is spread out on three spacious levels, offers spectacular views, and is newly equipped with modern appliances and furniture; all of which make this home a great choice for your vacation! The house is located in the Vila Castelo resort and offers a shared pool, summer activities and a snack bar. Local beaches, and restaurants are all within a short walking distance.

The entrance to the property is on the middle floor, and has steps leading up to the front door. On this level you will find a fully equipped kitchen, kitchen bar with stools, and the dining area with seating for 6. You will also find a small entertainment area with a comfortable leather sofa, a TV, DVD player and an Xbox. We have provided a good selection of DVD´s, books and Xbox games for entertainment. A lovely small terrace, with a bistro table and 2 chairs can also be found on this level. This is accessed through wall to wall patio doors. This terrace is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, and fresh croissants from the local bakery.

Downstairs, on the bottom floor, you will find two spacious bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The master bedroom, with a private ensuite bathroom, has a large double bed, ample wardrobe and drawer space, a safe, and access to a private terrace. The second bedroom has both a double and a single bed, wardrobe space and access to the second, ground floor terrace. The second bathroom, with shower, heated flooring and towel rack is located next to this bedroom.

Upstairs, on the third floor you will find the upper lounge with two comfortable leather sofas. Here there is another TV with British channels, a DVD player, and a BOSE blue tooth speaker. Full width patio doors lead to a private and spacious sun terrace which offers the breathtaking views over the river Arade, the medieval Fort of São João, and Portimao.There is a dining table with room for 6 chairs located here. This terrace is a lovely suntrap during the day, and is the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks and a meal while watching the sunset in the evening.

The house is fully equipped for both summer and winter lets as it has both air conditioning and electric heaters throughout. It also has a beautiful log burner on the third level, perfect for those winter evenings.

The house is ideally situated in Ferragudo, and offers easy access to two beaches and all the amenities in the main square of the village. The short 5-minute walk to Praia Grande (The Big Beach) offers a child friendly, beautiful beach with four fantastic beach bars/restaurants, a play park, and sun beds and umbrellas to rent. A slightly longer walk will take you into Ferragudo’s main square where you will find a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, the local baker, and two mini markets. In addition to this, there is also another child’s play park, a variety of shops and a pharmacy. The lively Ferragudo square offers something for everyone and is popular throughout the day, and into the evenings.

My husband and I, and our two daughters live in Canada, and first travelled to Portugal in 2012. We enjoyed a few days in Lisbon before hiring a car and driving south to the Algarve, to the quaint fishing village of Ferragudo. We had loved Lisbon, and were excited to explore more of Portugal. Once we arrived in Ferragudo we all quickly fell in love with the village, the kind people who lived and worked there, and the beautiful beaches that surrounded it. Being able to walk to the beach during the day, and then to a variety of restaurants at night was perfect. Anything to skip that hassle of packing the kids into a hot car every time we wanted to head to the beach, or to grab a meal!
Before we had left Ferragudo, we had already planned our return for the following May. We have continued to visit every year, and finally made our dream come true this spring by buying our own family holiday home, somewhere to return to, and enjoy with our children as they grow up.
