Kick back and relax in a 1940’s cottage home, recently remodeled. Located on a quite street and one block from city park. Located one block off GA Hwy 29. Convenient to I-16, take Exit 67 (12 miles), Soperton (5 miles) and Vidalia (12 miles). Home has living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, laundry room, kitchen, front porch and big yard.

The Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend Tarrytown comes alive for the annual yard sell. People bring their new and used items to sell. The fire department always sells Boston butts and there is other food available such as, home made bake goods and sandwiches.

I love this town. I grew up here. My grandparents, aunts and uncles, parents, friends all grew up here. Everyone knew each other. Trusted each other.

I grew up in Tarrytown, GA. Lived in Augusta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Memphis, TN, Fairfax, VA, and Orlando, FL before retiring from a career in federal law enforcement. Then I returned to the place I grew up. I love my southern roots and a simpler life. I stay busy with a farm and now the opening of the Windmill Restaurant with sisters Jill and Linda. The restaurant is located one block from the Airbnb property. Come by a visit, we will sit on the front porch of the restaurant and I will share my love of travel with you and you can share your adventure with me. A guaranteed good southern visit. My goal is for you to enjoy your stay and experience true southern hospitality at its best.
