Located just 5 miles from downtown Victor and 23 miles from Jackson, this hand-crafted, three floor post and beam house is perfectly situated for exploring the Tetons or just chilling with a glass of wine on the deck.

Upon entering the front door, you will notice the handcrafted rock chimney that rises through the center of the entire house, warmed by the generous sunlight streaming in from the full length windows.
With its wood burning stove, lined bookshelf, overstuffed couch and tranquil deck with table and chairs just beyond the back door, this main floor is a constant favorite among guests.

Also located on this floor is the main bathroom, with a bathtub (and shower head) that serves the two bedrooms just off the living room and past the sliding door. The first bedroom is perfect for two kids (or two single adults) with its antique twin beds and quilted blankets. Connected to this bedroom and separated by a door, is the larger second bedroom with a queen size bed, ample closet space and antique dresser to put away any personal belongings.

Just beyond the back glass door is the deck. With the morning sunshine, curious hummingbirds and gentle breezes through the tops of the aspens, there is no better place to welcome the new morning.

Head up the unique handmade spiral staircase to the master bedroom, situated on the entire top floor with its own bathroom, sitting room and beautiful tree top views of the surrounding yard and mountains beyond. With its high ceiling and sun-filled windows that open up to let in all the natural sounds and smells of the surrounding forest, you’ll debate whether to drift back to sleep or head out for an early morning hike.
Like the upstairs bedroom, the entire kitchen is located on the bottom floor with everything you need to cook a wonderful meal including dishes, pots and pans, silverware, spices, local coffee and a heated floor to keep your toes warm in case you forgot your slippers.
The old kitchen farm table seats four comfortably with a nearby breakfast nook and two stools perfect for kids or whoever needs a little more space. And just out the back door is a gas grill for all your outdoor grilling pleasure. Any and all goodies stocked in the house are there for your enjoyment.

One of the most fun aspects of this property is that it allows you the opportunity to truly experience being in a wilderness setting without sacrificing any of the comforts of normal life. The surrounding National Forest and nearby Teton Range with its diverse group of birds and animals cohabitate with us on a daily basis. Please respect these boundaries, respect the environment and leave as small a human footprint as possible, so we all can continue to enjoy the great outdoors around us.

Don't worry, the capital letters are just to emphasize importance, but please read this entire section before making a reservation.
My goal is offer you an experience that combines adventure and luxury, so I want to make sure that you are aware of the following things:

The house is three stories and is only accessible inside the house by "a spiral staircase." While none of my visitors have ever had an issue, all luggage will need to be carried up and down this access point and only those who believe they are physically capable of safely managing the spiral staircase should book a stay.

THIS IS BEAR COUNTRY. Do not leave trash or food outside, especially overnight! Food will attract these animals which can become a problem for the neighborhood and the animal themselves. We will dispose of all food waste appropriately during your stay if needed, or afterwards once you have left.

Teton Valley and the surrounding area is situated at over 6,200 ft. above sea level. Many of the hikes are at an even higher elevation. Hike and play to your hearts content, just please drink lots of water the entire time you are out and about to keep from getting dehydrated or altitude sickness.

The house is located in a small neighborhood on a dirt road (just off the main road) making it a very private and secluded hide out. It is set about a 100 yards from the national forest boundary with a handful of full time neighbors scattered throughout the area.
