Welcome to Il Baciarino! We are a rustic agriturismo in the green hills of Maremma, Toscana's wild and unexplored coastal region. Il Baciarino is a place to come and stay, to escape from the bustle of the city and your busy life, and to unwind in nature; perfect for those who love unspoiled nature, endless views, fresh seafood & good wine.

Il Baciarino has six unique rustic cottages nestled in 19 acres of wilderness, on the outskirts of the tiny Etruscan town of Vetulonia.

La Medea is a quiet romantic get-away nestled among the baciarino trees.
Your air-conditioned bedroom has a queen bed, a tiny table for two, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

Under the covered patio is your outdoor kitchen, a dining area and space to lounge. In front of the cottage there's a large hammock in between the trees to relax, read a book and enjoy the view. Test your fire building skills with a fire bowl and firewood to cuddle around in the evenings.

The large lawn space in front has deck chairs for you to read in, sun beds to stretch out on, and a private hot/cold stone soaking tub that makes a wonderful place to watch the sun set or the moon rise. There’s even a small herb garden to liven up your meals.

Here’s how we like to make your stay even more special:
- We will light your private stone cold/hot tub on request {€25/35}
- From Tuesday till Saturday, we offer a multi-course dinner of fresh fish, pasta and dessert. It’s based on what’s fresh and what’s growing in the garden! It’s €35 per person and includes wine.
- We don't offer breakfast per se, but we can bring you freshly baked bread and a case of home made jams around 9 am. €10 each morning.
- We offer a picnic basket filled with a variety of traditional tuscan treats; perfect to take to the beach or to enjoy in the privacy of your cottage. €40 per couple.

Note: We can happily make the dinner vegetarian and the picnic basket vegetarian or vegan - just let us know.

A private parking space is available within 100m from the cottage.

Vetulonia is one of the jewels of Etruscan history. Its ruins and museum offer a look into the long history of this little town.

Castiglione della Pescaia and its beautiful beaches on the Tyrrhenian sea is 20 minutes away. Parco della Maremma is wonderful wilderness reserve 25 minutes away. And we are in the heart of Tuscany - close to many beautiful medieval villages like Massa Marittima, Pitigliano, S. Gimignano; the city of Siena; and Abbies like S. Galgano.

Il Baciarino is a rustic agriturismo experience in Tuscany's coastal Maremma. Five unique cottages, nestled among olive & oak trees, offer endless views of the surrounding Maremma hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea in the distance. It's the perfect place for a romantic getaway, to relax and unwind in contact with nature, secluded and private, yet close to many undiscovered sights of Southern Tuscany.

About us:
Andrea, proprietor and chef, grew up fishing on his family's fishing boat and working at the family fish shop in nearby Castiglione della Pescaia. Offering the daily catch along with his creative cooking preparation suggestions to customers, he began nurturing a passion for cooking that eventually turned into "Cucina di Andrea" through which he shares his seasonal cooking with our agriturismo guests.

Chandra, Andrea's wife, is an artist and teacher. She grew up in Canadia playing in mud puddles and building forts. She offers artistic retreats and classes both in Canada and in Italy.

Rita, Andrea’s mother-in-law, is the reigning queen of the agriturismo, a charming signora with a heart of gold, who may be slow on her feet, but who enjoys the attention of our agriturismo guests from all over the world.

Cucina di Andrea offers a multi course menu of fresh local seafood, homemade pasta, water, wine and dessert, served in the communal room or weather permitting on our view terrace.

Please note that dinners are on request and require one day prior notice.
