We are in the country and live on a dirt road and there are no street lights. For the most part it is fairly quiet. You may hear dogs from the kennel from time to time, but barking outdoors results in dogs having to be put back indoors.

Hey, I'm Janet, living a great life here in Northern Mn. with my husband Barry. We are located six miles from the shores of Lake Superior. Sitting on nine acres with fruit trees, flower and vegetable gardens and wildlife that enjoy them as much as we do. Weather permitting you will find us outdoors keeping up with yard chores. Barry has a garage most guys would die for. His hobby or should I say reason for living is cars. I love the outdoors, fishing, the way the snow sparkles like someone as sprinkled glitter on it, the smell of the leaves in the fall. You get the picture. Together her we love to travel. Museums, history, theater and ice wine are a few of the things we enjoy. Barry is a teacher, teaching auto mechanics. I have a medical backround and am currently operating a small boarding kennel for dogs. We have seven grandchildren and can't imagine life without them. We are empty nesters and have room to spare. That is why you are reading this. We are down to earth, unassuming people that can offer you a comfortable room, close to hiking and cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails and the shores of Lake Superior. We are 15 minutes from the city of Duluth. Its beautiful. It sits on the hills on the headwaters of the lake. You wouldn't be disappointed if you had a day to spend. What ever the season there are always things happening. Should you chose to stay with us, we are a normal everyday kinda home with people coming and going a phone that rings and a lawn that needs cutting, normal house noises. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing/sharing life experiences, however we can respect your privacy if that is what your needing. Appreciation for everyday is so important to me. You have one life on this earth...... enjoy it.
