The Mökki Cottage is an excellent home base from which to explore and enjoy Grand Marais - whether that’s summer festivals, fall colors, fat biking or nordic skiing. Located only steps away from the harbor, this quaint home offers a rural feel while being within minutes to restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, the North House Folk School, the Art Colony, and so much more.

This cozy house has great curb appeal with its colorful and cheery Scandinavian design. Its warm interior finish has preserved some of the original 1938 construction such as maple hardwood flooring throughout.

The home offers a nice balance of natural light through plentiful windows while still offering privacy from the lovely wooded property. The raised bed garden, wildflowers, clover ground cover, yellow roses, and mountain ash trees fill the yard giving it a wonderfully wild and natural feel.

The home has a cafe/booth style eating nook with wrap-around windows…perfect for quaint dinners or for reading and writing.

The galley style kitchen has a bar stool seating area; ideal for hanging out during meal preparation or simply for sipping your morning coffee.

Sit back in the open concept living room or in the summer, relax on the lovely front porch in a comfy hanging chair.

A double pull-out couch with deluxe memory foam and fiber mattress topper is available for additional guests.

Stevie was born in Texas and traveled all over the world until she moved to Argentina to cross over 1,000 miles of Patagonia solo with her 2 horses and dog.

Juani was a restaurant owner from Buenos Aires, Argentina when the two met in Patagonia. Life eventually brought the two back to The States permanently.

Stevie always told Juani about this beautiful little town Called Grand Marais and her idea to build, design and share a unique off-grid cabin.

So we decided to move to GM and we start our project called Patagonia Cabin, not only because Patagonia is where everything started for us, but more importantly because for us it is not to share a cabin, its to share this place called home, the history of every element, and this beautiful journey that we started as a family.

We host and manage various properties for our clients located mostly on The North Shore.
