Food is art, and one of my biggest passions. The summer season holds a wealth of flavors and ingredients that are as aesthetically beautiful as they are flavorful. I’ll be walking you through one of my favorite summer recipes that plays with sweetness, acidity and savory that will be sure to please your palate and refresh your soul as the days grow hotter and longer.
First, we’ll get to know each other and see what you’re working with in your kitchen. If you don’t have everything readily available, don’t fret! We can improvise, or you can enjoy a glass of wine while I talk you through the rest.
Then we’ll be making a cucumber & squash panzanella with cherry tomatoes, parmesan and basil.
As a final touch, I will suggest beverages that pair best with this dish and show you some of my favorites.

While recovering from his second heart surgery, Rōze looked towards the kitchen for a place of healing and recovery. At 18, Rōze took his knife kit and headed to Le Cordon Bleu. From there, he hit the road, living in Washington D.C., Ivory Coast, London, Paris and NYC, learning from the best in the business and immersing himself indifferent culinary cultures. Travel has always been a source for Rōze’s creativity and the inspiration for much of what he creates. Most importantly, he has made it his mission to help people of every socio-economic background, to experience the pleasures of eating fresh, beautiful food in a tangible and accessible way.

Roze's recipe for cucumber and summer squash panzanella has so many hidden tricks and techniques - much more than meets the eye! It's an appropriate level of difficulty where it seemed like everyone could keep up. I've been in cooking experiences before where only 1 or no one is cooking, and the fact that every single one of us cooked added a lot to the experience. Roze was also really open to answer our questions about his industry experience in the last few minutes while we were all enjoying the panzanella. Definitely recommend this experience!

Chef Traore's class was superb. The dish we prepared was fun to make, really really good, and he suggested substitutions to make it our own or to the seasons.
The class was special because he was very engaging and friendly, he was easy to follow, he took time to explain the process so anyone could have participated - from those with a lot of experience in the kitchen to newcomers - and finally, he just seemed like a nice guy. He was also super buttoned up - no technology or camera issues, and he was on-time. I'd love to take another of his classes.
